From the Auroragov.org website…

Aurora is a strategically located hub for commerce and industry on the eastern edge of the metro area, with the E-470 toll way wrapping its way around the east side, Interstate 70 flanking the north and Interstate 225 slicing north and south through the middle.

Only minutes away from Denver International Airport, the city is home to more than 10,400 businesses, and public and private sector employment amounts to roughly 101,000 people.

With a highly educated workforce of whom more than 30 percent are college graduates, the city attracts major companies such as Buckley Air Force Base, the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Hospital, The Children’s Hospital, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, ADT Security Services, Lockheed Martin, Graebel Cos., Inc., Kaiser Permanente and L’Oreal. The Aurora Chamber of Commerce and the Aurora Economic Development Council provide support for attracting such businesses and getting them involved in the community.

Interstate 70 and E-470 have evolved into significant business and industry magnets, with thousands of acres in business parks hosting major distribution centers for some of the country’s top companies. East on I-70 in Aurora is Front Range Airport, which is being transformed into the 6,700-acre TransPort, a global business development linking air, train and truck transportation with industry and employment centers.
